We had oil supply issues and had h9 hot water for a week, with a further week to wait, so decided to book a room for a night so we could have a showet/bath. Missed the paid for breakfast - that was our fault because I got the time wrong. Beware brekkie service ends at 9 am. Everything was spotlessly clean, the room smsll but ample. A good night's restvv

Excellent hotel. Good food, lovely, quiet location and good food. The only downside is the access via narrow lanes.

I booked this last minute whilst scrolling my through various pages. It did not disappoint. Beautiful looking pub, warm and welcoming staff to check in with. Room and en-suite were sufficient for my needs. There was also a wedding reception one night but the music was good and finished at a reasonable time too. I would stay here again for sure

I had an overnight stay at The Weary Friar, following a weekend of golf at St Mellions. I checked in late, as I also visited a friend in Newquay. The staff member was happy to see me, and checked me in swiftly. She explained where my room was, where to have breakfast in the morning, and asked if there was anything I needed. I went to my room, to drop off my bag, and headed back down to the bar for a pint or two. My room was clean, on the large size and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I slept well, and the bed was spot on. Plenty of towels, and the shower was hot and powerful. I went down for breakfast (full English``), which was excellent, quality ingredients cooked perfectly. They had various other options on offer. If I was to say one thing, it would be to have mugs as well as cups...I do like a mug of tea in the morning. Overall, the staff were friendly, and attentive. My room was clean and comfortable, and the food was great, what more can you ask for. This is a lovely village pub, that I feel is value for money.
