All as expected, good overall…

It's not fancy but covers all the essentials well. We booked a room with two queen beds on the first floor for almost a week and here are some thoughts: Lighting: one by each of the two headboards of the beds, one floor lamp by the window, one at the room entrance. It's sufficiently-lit for a good rest. Two in the washroom - adjustable to bright. If needed during the day time, one can always just roll up the window roller shades and let in the sun. The roller shades does a solid job blocking light and can be let down covering the entire window. Air-conditioning: situated right under the windows, adjustable between cooling and heating modes, both works well with fan speed adjustable between high and low. Slight noise at "high" fan speed, but within normal range for air conditioners. A slight wet and moldy smell - the filters could probably use more regular cleaning. Infrastructure: floor is carpeted, bathtub and toilet showd signs of age and use, shower curtains do not dry easily and can give off a stuffy smell, but all are functional and serve their purposes. TV: TV worked well, has 30+ channels can be connected to USB and HDMI. Hair-dryer: some places provide small low powered wall-connected hair dryers, the one we had, however, was over 1200W and detachable for convenience, it's a nice small touch of convenience. Overall noise: for our room we were well isolated from noises of rooms above or adjacent. We can still hear other guests talking directly outside of our door, but that's normal. The room door relatively heavy and have some sort of door closers installed which softens the impact upon closing, producing almost no noise. Exhaust fans may be a bit loud when turned on. Fridge and the microwave worked well. There was a single cup coffee machine that we did not use. Iron and ironing board provided, but were not used. No water cooker as mentioned by some other reviews. A good number of wall outlets and extension cords. Two sockets behind each bed, one extension cord on the table, one underneath the table, multiple ones above and underneath the bedside table, two in the washroom. Beds: are comfortable and clean. Security: the general area is home to many hotels including holiday inn express, whatever it is, it's not going to be exclusive to Baymont. Entrances are controlled by key cards, certain entrances have curfew in place. During our stay we met no loiterers indoor or outdoor. Location: easy access to many malls, local scenaries and food places by car, public transportation or even foot. Breakfast: bread, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, yogurt, sandwich etc selections that seem to be from the local Costco. Internet: generally works but did sometimes lose signal unexpectedly. When it works viewing for example YouTube videos are okay. Would suggest having your own cellular plan to complement the free WiFi from time to time. Lastly, the staff are all top notch friendly and helpful with supplies, booking needs and more, Alina, Anthony, Heather and Vincent. Housekeeping staff were great too, paid a lot attention to detail. Great stay overall.

guess it seved its purpose but area was not safe . was worried about my car thru the night!! although better than other areas around bellingham! had a cop tell me to not leave car unattended DT or the crack heads will break in and steal everthing. beautiful area horrible city
