Langstone Quays Resort is in a great location - just over the bridge onto Hayling Island with plenty of parking and a short walk to lovely tearooms and coastal walks. The bathrooms are dated and the fabric shower curtain needs to be replaced. It would be nice to have bathrobes and slippers in the room so you can go down to the spa ready for action! There's no air-conditioning and the rooms are boiling (even when the weather isn't). There were two fans provided in the room and we needed both on the entire time we were in the room, awake and asleep. The hotel is large and on two floors - there's no lift. If you need help with your luggage you have to ask, nobody will offer! The buffet breakfast has everything you want to start your day off, plus you can order vegetarian sausages and poached eggs. There are staff in abundance but none of them are proactive, so you have to ask every time any of the food choices need replenishing. The evening meal was very tasty - and very tiny and very expensive! Again, plenty of staff but slow, disinterested service. I would definitely stay again for the location, and hope that the staff are more proactive next time and the small changes I've mentioned have been acted upon.

Over all good value for money. There could have been more staff in the bar area as most evenings food and empty glasses were left for quite a while on tables, with guests having to move things in order to put their own drinks on the tables. This does not give a welcome feel to the area. Also there was an elderly lady who had mobility issues and was unable to stand at the bar to order a drink. The staff on duty totally ignored her and it was my husband who alerted a member of the bar staff to go to her table in order to take her order, which they eventually did. Poor customer service! We stayed in a double room but it did not look like the picture on your website and did not include a fridge which I was told would be in our room.

I booked a one night stay to break our journey to the beach. I then read trip advisor reviews and cancelled the booking. Failing to find anything else reasonably priced, I rebooked it and decided I’d see for myself how ‘bad it was’. Check-in was quick and easy with friendly staff. I’d asked for an upper floor room with sea view which was accommodated. There was a welcome gift pack in the room for my son which he was thrilled about. The room was clean, spacious, bright and fresh. A fan was provided as currently still experiencing a heatwave. It would have been better if it was bigger but it certainly helped. Beds were clean and comfortable. Spare pillows and bedding in the room. The bathroom was clean and toiletries were available and smelt lovely. Shower pressure was good and ample hot water available. Yes the hotel is tired and dated in areas but this didn’t affect our stay in anyway. We had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant, which whilst the food was all good, I felt was overpriced. My son slept well, my husband and I only disrupted by the heat. There was no noise disturbing us despite a disco/party x2 being held at the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was chaotic, the breakfast room wasn’t really big enough for the amount of people staying so it felt cramped. The food quality was middle of the road. Whilst there was the usual fried breakfast available I felt the continental offering was very basic. Staff throughout our stay were polite, friendly and helpful. We did not use the swimming pool. This hotel did not match up to the 1 star reviews I’d read on trip advisor. It was far better. I would stay here again if I was heading to the beach for the weekend.

A lovely place a little dated in some areas but the overall ambience and service was excellent and made for a thouroughly relaxing and comfortable break which was the aim. I made full use of the water based facilities and enjoyed being able to easily visit the rest of the island. The food and drink facilities were excellent with a nice mix of elegance and relaxation sitiing in the different bar restaurant areas.

Got a well priced deal from Agoda for B&B. The hotel is being refurbished in phases and a note was up to apologise for unsightly skirting replacements- this was no bother. The room was partially refurbished and nice, but the bathroom showed signs of black mould under where bath seal had been badly replaced. (Guess bathrooms on the list for refurb). The breakfast was great and the bar area nice too. If using the spa facilities (which was a nice bonus) ...it offers outside membership. Towels supplied. Unfortunately the steam room had signs of black mould in all crevices...which wasn't noticeable my first use and the steam was thick. The pool area also lacked a good standard of cleanliness as did the ladies showers (dirty and full of black mould). Pity...as this is just a cleaning issue. The refurbished can not be used for lack of cleaning- eg. There was a splash of red wine? on the base of the stairs to our room opposite reception. Any one of the staff could have wiped this? There was a fan in the room and a flight of stairs to our room. Manageable by us. If you don't use the gym facilities- very nice.
