We planned to stay in Southsea, but could not find anything we liked available, so booked the Anglesey Hotel. We loved the location at the end of a beautiful regency terrace, just five minutes walk from Stokes Bay beach. We were really impressed by the dinner we had at the hotel, good choice of dishes, which were very tasty with some unusual tapas starters, and really good value. Would certainly be happy to return.

A night in Stokes Bay

Very comfortable stay in a very quant period hotel that provided good facilities, restaurant, and friendly staff. Parking on street was a problem.

Anglesey Hotel
It’s a nice enough hotel however, when we got to our room, the windows were wide open and the radiator wasn’t working. I asked for it to be fixed but nothing happened. It was a bit chilly which made the experience less positive than it could have been.

Excellent hotel friendly staff no drama
The hotel is an old school hotel that is friendly clean and above all safe..In a nice area simple and not a bad walk to ferry terminal, , making Portsmouth excessible. Food is good always packed for a Sunday lunch, with breakfast a good selectionn. Enjoyed the stay will stay again.
