I booked 2 nights, the next day my dad started to see bed bugs bites on his arms and by the night we started to see couple bed bugs, besides that everything else was on point, but it’s not fair paying *** for a room single bed room and getting bed bugs in your buddy preventing you from sleeping , we couldn’t do anything about it now we have to wash our bags , what’s our clothes and buy repellents

Located in Port Angeles downtown, so a quick hop to restaurants & grocery stores. We were concerned about the road noise when we got there around 8:30pm, but the traffic died down during the night and was not an issue for us to sleep (not great during the day if you want to keep the window open though). It's an old building and has a slight smell, but nothing alarming compared to some other motels we've stayed at. Shower was fine (though the head is positioned a tad low for tall folks), we slept good, Wifi worked, coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge all functioned as they should. (We don't watch TV so don't know how it fares.) We got a last-min $10 discount off the official, off-season rate thru Agoda, so the value was excellent. Two things this motel could do better: 1. Insect management It's apparently the carpet beetle season in April, so there were half a dozen tiny beetles throughout the room, and 2 large flies which had probably come in thru the torn window screen. 2. Communication We did arrive after they had closed the office (presumably 8pm?), as communicated via Agoda platform in advance. We wish the motel had left us a message either via email or voicemail to let us know where they had left our room key & how to retrieve it. It took us 10 min trying to find someone, ringing the door bell & calling the posted number with no success, before we finally found an envelope with the key, tucked in a closed box. We didn't interact with anyone (we just left the keys inside the room at check-out), so don't know how the staff are, but we would stay here again for a quick rest stop given it was comfortable enough of a place overall.

Staff were excellent, even went out of their way to help us jump start our rental car with a flat battery!

Pro: the room is adequate. The location is OK. The room and bathroom were relatively clean. Com: The room was surprisingly small. There was no cleaning service even though the description had said there would be daily cleaning service. We stayed three days and on the second day we asked for cleaning service and found at the end of the day that the bed had knocked them, but towels were left in the bathroom, and the garbage can have been emptied. there is no breakfast. :

Room was clean and comfortable. Only one coffee bag left (and no tea bags) - and not replenished during a two night stay. Location was a bit seedy and quite noisy surrounds too.
