Ryde Castle by Greene King Inns

Room very clean and tidy. Bed excellent a double even though twin beds requested. Extremely draughty through old windows in need of urgent replacement. Hot water minimal and didn't live up to warning signs in bathroom .. this did improove nearer the weeken for an unknown reason. Perhaps number of guests increased. Atmosphere in and around bar almost negligible perhaps the cold draughts through old windows assisted . It was a very windy stormy period during our stay. Very disappointed wirh stay in a building that has a long interesting history. Spoilt I felt with the degree , or lack of, external and internal maintainance

Lovely hotel with sea views we were looking good out to Portsmouth could see the hover crafts coming and going. The food at the bar was good value and was amazing not just pub snacks but delicious home style meals. The beer was cold and the G&Ts hit the spot. Our room was quiet and clean and the parking was ample for the hotel and we felt our motorcycle was fairly safe there not on display. For all.to see. We would definitely go back for another trip.
