Very satisfied with my stay. They helped arrange round trip airport transportation for me at very reasonable price ($75/per trip). Upon check-in, I was offered bottled water or a glass of champagne, which was a nice touch. There is fruit-infused water available in the lobby 24/7 which I enjoyed. Great if you took your water bottle with you, as the provided cups only held about 4 fl oz. The lobby is truly beautiful, and it was a joy to lounge in between waiting for car rides from the hotel. Many hotels include cheap, mass produced art and decor, even other comparable “fancy” hotels, but this hotel treats its guests with respect by providing decor that matches the sophistication of its clientele. Very nice touch, in my opinion. I booked a Petite King room for 4 nights.Room felt somewhat small, and some of the furniture had some noticeable “dings” but it didn’t bother me. Liked that the in-room mini bar was complimentary. Room was very clean, and I liked that the TV included apps like Netflix and YouTube. The in room alarm clock had a built-in speaker (JBL) and Bluetooth capabilities. Each night stand on both sides of the bed had 2 USB ports and two standard 120 V wall ports. Table beneath the TV also had two of each. Very nice. Very shortly after check-in, I noticed they offered complimentary shoe shining. I called and asked if I could have this arranged, and the process was very simple and fast. I had them polished around 10am, and they said they would be ready by that evening. However, they were actually ready in 30 minutes. Very nice! And my shoes looked incredible. Very nice touch. The complimentary breakfast offered on the mezzanine exceeded my expectations. Bacon was overcooked, almost burnt, but some people like their bacon this way so maybe this is intended. Everything else was superb. Eggs were scrambled soft, almost wet, which may not be enjoyable for everyone, but I enjoyed. The a la carte breakfast offered in the restaurant, Cultivated F+B, was also very good. I got the American breakfast, scrambled with bacon and wheat toast. Bacon this time around was cooked, in my opinion, perfectly. Still slightly tender and juicy, but not chewy. Menu said it comes with two eggs, but I definitely received about 3 or 4. It was an incredibly large portion. I’m assuming they batch all their scrambled eggs and the cook portioned it incorrectly., but I’m not complaining. Espresso was also enjoyable. Service was somewhat indifferent, not notable whatsoever, but also not bad or terrible. In-Room dining was just ok. I called and spoke to a woman who seemed indifferent when I asked her what on the menu was popular. She replied “everything is fresh, so everything is good.” I had to reword my question a couple of times until she finally explained the house specialty was the crab cakes, and her personal favorite was the salmon. I told her I would call back in a moment to place my order. I called back, and someone else had answered the phone. I wish I would have gotten her name, but she was absolutely wonderful. In-Room dining menus don’t include a dessert menu, or a cocktail menu (for some reason). When I kindly asked if I may order off the dessert and cocktail menu for room service, she obliged. She was very patient with me when I kindly asked her to explain what was available, as I didn’t have access to either of those menus. Despite earlier recommendations, I had ordered the calamari and the American Kobe burger, medium well, as well as a chocolate mousse dessert topped with a pistachio matcha crumble and a Paloma. Calamari was just slightly under seasoned, but the chipotle aioli served with it made up for it. Was also a little too chewy. Burger was not very good, but was cooked to my preference correctly (medium well). Meat was a little dry, and even adding mayo couldn’t help. Fries were cold by the time they made it up to my room, unfortunately. It may have been my mistake for not following the earlier food recommendations. Palom

What an amazing place and real gem in the theater district! We had a show at Jones Hall and decided last minute to just stay the night instead of driving back to Lake Charles after. First you literally cannot park any closer to Jones Hall. It’s on the same street directly across from the hotel. From the moment you drive up to the valet you are greeted with the most amazing personnel. Seemed to really enjoy being there. The valet, doorman, bell hop were outstanding. The very sweet receptionist welcomed us and gave us two glasses of sparkling wine. The room and facilities were very nice. Very comfortable bed. Snacks and drinks complimentary in the room. I have 4 stars here only because our room, 904, had a loud whistling noise coming out of the bathroom faucet that was def not new. That should’ve been fixed. Very quiet room otherwise which might have made that sound even louder and more distracting. The breakfast buffet was great! Best I’ve had in a long time, especially after eating the same variety at your normal chain hotels. Real orange juice. Real eggs. Deviled eggs! Will look for more reasons to stay here in the future

The Lancaster Hotel exceeded expectations on every level. The location is incredibly convenient—right in the heart of downtown yet tucked away in a quieter area, which made getting around both easy and comfortable. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. From check-in to departure, the service was exceptional—professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without feeling overdone. The rooms were excellent—well-appointed, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a level of comfort that made it easy to unwind after a full day in the city. A standout touch was the complimentary snacks and drinks. It’s a small detail, but it adds real value and reflects the hotel’s attention to guest experience. Overall, this is a polished, well-run boutique hotel that delivers both quality and comfort. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. We were in walking distance to our theater. The petite king was sufficient for a one night stay to attend a play. The rooms are always clean and comfortable.

I have always wanted to stay in this hotel even though we live here. It completely exceeded my expectations in every way! First class from start to finish! My highest recommendation!
