Good comfortable bed and pillows. The room and shower room were clean and in good order. The building is nice, it looks like a stone Victorian type, with an extension for the bar. My room was quiet, with no noise at all from the bar or dining rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and though not on site overnight there is a phone number for them. I didn’t have dinner there as I’d eaten, but the dining place looked welcoming and the food smelt lovely. The room windows were easy to open. The notice on the room door advises guests to familiarise themselves with the fire escape. I did this, having experienced a fire in a large building before. This was good advice as the route goes onto the bar extension roof, then you turn sharply to go down a stair between the extension and the building, which might not be obvious in a dark and smoky situation. Also there were a couple of items left there (pots and a small broken table) which weren’t exactly blocking the exit but you wouldn’t want to trip over in an emergency. I expect the items were a one-off but it’s worth checking anyway so you know where the route is. A second cup or a glass in the room would have been useful. A picture in the room would’ve upped it a little. Overall pretty good and would definitely go again.

The rooms were bad the beds terrible. We arrived early and the bar staff was very friendly and helpful. The front room shook we traffic went by and the showers had no pressure.

I had Lamb tikka . Was delicious x Recommended

Quite location, served Indian food in the kitchen/bar. Room is average, got all the basic facilities but I don't think is clean. And the bed is not comfy. Wouldn't use them again.
