I was initially captivated by its lovely atmosphere. It is a pretty and aesthetic local property that preserves the quiet beauty of traditional Javanese architecture. The property consists of two matching buildings—one for the owner and one for guests—facing each other across a small path. This layout offers a nice balance of privacy and accessibility. The owner’s homemade fried rice every morning was a highlight I looked forward to daily. I particularly loved the modest yet beautiful Javanese details, like the wooden doors with mesh screens and the solid timber furniture. It felt much more soulful and authentic than a typical modern budget hotel. The location is absolutely perfect. It’s tucked away in a very quiet area but provides immediate access to Jalan Tirtodipuran and leads straight into the vibrant Prawirotaman area. These are two of the most attractive streets in the city, and you can access both local warungs and trendy cafes within easy walking distance. While I spent nearly two weeks here and loved the atmosphere, there are a few functional points that could elevate this guest house to the next level. Regarding the water facilities: the dispenser is convenient, but the hot water function didn't seem to be provided anymore, which is a bit challenging for coffee lovers. Similarly, the shower provided only cold water during my stay. Since the potential of this property is so high, I believe converting a couple of the rooms into "Business-friendly" spaces—adding air conditioning and a proper writing desk/chair—would be a fantastic investment. I eventually moved to a business-style hotel because I needed those facilities for work, but I would have loved to stay longer if those options were available here. For those who value aesthetic integrity and a peaceful, authentic Javanese vibe, this place is a gem.

Nice relaxed feeling at this homestay. Clean rooms, with a fan and a hot shower. The bedding was clean. Maybe a small blanket would be good as we were cold during the night.It might be worthwhile asking for one. We arrived back late on the 2nd night so didnt ask. Nice seating area to chat to other guests. Also breakfast was included. Banana pancakes and a bowl of fruit.

Ga expect bakal sehomey ini. Mulai dari lokasi, bentuk rumah, sampe ke ownernya bener bener se-oke itu. Emang ga pake ac tapi di jogja aman kok ga pake ac tuh, karena pas tidur malem aja aku ga hidupin kipasnya karena adem pol. Trus keren bgt walopun tema kamarnya tradisional tapi di kamar mandinya pake water heater, kerennn +1. Dapet sarapan dan ada air galon buat minum daily jadi ga perlu beli beli air mineral lagi, hemat beb. Seneng bgt dapet homestay semurah ini tapi ga zonk, orang orang rumahnya juga ramah bgt pula dan ini di daerah prawiro jadi kaya i swear u guys must try this!!🫶🏻🫶🏻
