I thought this was a great value for the price I paid. It is not the fanciest hotel ever, but again for the price I paid I thought it was great. There was a rooftop bar that seemed cool from what I could tell from the outside, but I was with my young daughter so I never checked it out. The pros- comfortable beds, great proximity to public transportation (straight shot train ride to Manhattan), cool neighborhood (Chinatown?). Friendly staff. Nice large soaking tub. WiFi. Also, it is directly next to a police station which made me feel safe. Lots of storage space. Cons- I tried calling beforehand to confirm my reservation, and they seem to have no working number which made me nervous, but when I got there my reservation was exactly as it was supposed to be, so that was good. There were a few questionable people in the lobby here and there, but it is a city so what can you expect? Also, there is no real door on the bathroom, more of a glass stall door, and the one there didn’t close all the way, which was a little awkward. Only about 5 working TV channels. All in all, I would stay here again if given the same price.

I came into the city from out of state for an event. I needed to stay near the venue and found The One. It was easily accessible from the subway. Now my room was ok. It was surface clean. Shower look to have been just rinse not very clean wear shower shoes! But had a good view though. I stayed on the 7th floor which was great until when I got back at midnight and all I could hear was music coming from the roof top club until about 2am. So if you plan on sleep get a lower floor.

It was an okay stay. Room was a good size but using some things in the room was complicated. The biggest issue was that you need to insert your key card in a slot by the door in order to use the lights. However, it doesn’t stop there. The outlets won’t work unless you keep the card in there too. It was annoying having to get up and manually turn off all the lights for the different parts of the room. It’s not a normal setup with one light in the room and one in the bathroom. It might not make sense now but if you were to stay here you’d understand.

The room itself was fine. About 10 mins from the subway. The bed was so comfortable. But the bathroom situation is not ideal, it's not entirely enclosed. There's also no central heating. You're not made aware of this. We opened the closet and found space heaters. Would have been nice to be told this.
