The hotel is modern, clean, and staff are friendly. There's a hotel restaurant and a coffee/cafe downstairs. It has a nice cozy, hip vibe that I liked. The location is conveniently located near to Soho which has good shopping and eateries. Overall I recommend this hotel and would stay again!

This was my second time staying here, my last stay being a couple years ago. Overall thoughts: PROS -Location: To me, this has to be one of the best locations if you are mostly staying downtown/Brooklyn. Everything south of Central Park + Dumbo area is a 15-20 min commute with walking + subway. The Met/Central Park is about 20-30 mins which is still not bad. Additionally, you're a 5 min walk from Soho and Chinatown. -There's a Blue Bottle Coffee on the first floor with ample seating to work or hang out which was a plus to me. -Cleanliness: The rooms are definitely clean and nice, especially compared to other NYC hotels. Our room had a nice view which was great and they have automatic blinds and lights in the room which is a plus. However, I noticed a decent amount of wear and tear in the rooms since my last stay 2-3 years ago which is concerning. Bathroom tile was noticeably caving in, TV was not working with chromecast - small things like that. -The downstairs bar is nice but small. As a guest I got priority on the waitlist which was super nice when it was really busy Friday night! CONS: -Check-In: There was some kind of typo with my last name at check in, resulting in the staff member being unable to my find my reservation. He then told me that they likely did not receive my reservation when I booked through Agoda, and that there was nothing he could do and to contact Agoda customer service. Given that I had already paid for my entire stay, I was pretty disappointed and stressed that we wouldn't have a place to stay for our trip. Thankfully he realized my name just had a typo and he found my reservation, but wished he had done more digging before jumping to the worst conclusion. -Value: I did book at a decent price compared to other hotels in the area, but at the normal rate I don't think I would book or recommend others to book a room here. The rooms are nice and clean but the entire experience felt pretty "average". Facilities: Again, clean but average. The gym is small but clean and I don't believe there are other amenities besides that and the restaurant/bar. I've never gotten to eat at the restaurant on site but it looks nice!

Location is great, you’re very close to Chinatown for great food and Soho for shopping. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Tidy but not clean. Rooms weren’t sanitary - hair was found in the shower, used coasters near the sink. Things just seemed dirty. Rooms are VERY small. If you’re going with someone, it is a tight space so make sure you’re comfortable with sharing a shoebox. Umbrellas were provided by the hotel which was a nice little perk when we needed it the most. There is a daily service fee around $35 that is mandatory for water and gym. This wasn’t communicated in the booking so I was caught a bit off guard and obviously - not worth the fee. Overall, it was fine but I would book somewhere else next time. The “luxury” price isn’t worth it.

I like the time I spent at the Walker Hotel! The staff was kind to me it could have been cleaner details speaking but the views and the comfort was there. recommend!
