The hotel is central for everything you need..I was dismayed to find my bathroom although thinking it was private was in the corridor through the fire door.. really not good for me..I had my own bathroom but dreaded getting up in the night.. the neighbouring room with children where still setting down at midnight.. The staff were excellent, very helpful.. breakfast was good with several choices.. I would recommend that the surfaces of tables in eating area are looked at and varnish removed as they are so very sticky... Feel like they are dirty but not, as its the multiple layers of poor quality varnish..

This building is old and was never meant for hotel accommodation but you're right in the heart of Shrewsbury so small rooms and corridors were part of the charm. The food and staff in the restaurant/bar were part of the reason we went back and stayed here; previously staying further out of town. We didn't get to use the WiFi but we had phone and internet signals so I didn't mention anything at the time. If we're in the neighbourhood again we'll be booking in, subject to one of the few ensuite being available.

Really happy with the Old Post office accomadation , the breakfast was also very nice too .

Enjoyed our stay at the Old Post Office. Great tasting breakfast and great bar meal. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights staff great food very good 2 meals for 20 pounds rooms clean and tidy kettle and all accessories towels plus shampoos conditioners breakfast lovely all in all would definitely recommend
