Fab building, great facilities - there is a pool schedule available at the reception (as long as people use it!) so you can get the facilities to yourself when the building is busy! Disappointed there wasn’t any vegetarian or vegan option within the breakfast menu, and also when collecting the key from pub next door the bar tender was quite sharp in saying “no dogs allowed” when going to collect the key (even though dogs are allowed in the hotel). Being that we stayed in the suite and it was self catering it would have been useful if some washing up liquid and cleaning products were left! Overall quite impressed with the venue, would be perfect with a few tweaks ☺️

Always a pleasure staying here. It's our first choice when we come up from Shropshire and visit our family here near Halifax. Dog & Gun next door is welcoming with good beer and food (and a roaring fire in winter!)

Really enjoyable stay at a lovely little guesthouse. Nice personal touches in the rooms- sweets, biscuits, tea and coffee and nice cosmetics. Loved the pool! Comfy beds, lots of storage in the rooms & nice and clean! Our only very minor issue was the bathroom door sticking, warm weather probably exacerbated that but we reported it on checkout & they were aware of it already so hopefully will get sorted soon.

We had a one night stay and were very impressed with the room, the facilities and in particular the food served (dinner & breakfast) in the adjacent Dog & Gun. It was so good I think we will be back for a longer stay. The location is ideal for access to the Worth Valley railway and to visit 'Happy Valley'.
