AVOID AT ALL COSTS - RIPPED OFF & VERY POOR
Avoid this hotel at all costs. My experience at Assheton Arms Hotel was extremely disappointing from the moment I arrived. The property was in a very poor, neglected and unclean state, nothing like the photos shown online. It looked run down, badly maintained and gave a terrible first impression. I was so concerned by the condition of the hotel that I chose not to stay and tried to cancel immediately upon arrival. The images used to advertise this place are completely misleading compared to the reality. I would strongly advise anyone considering booking here to think twice and read recent reviews carefully. Very poor experience and a complete waste of time. They have yet to respond to any of my emails and to date have not offered a refund.

I feel honesty is the best policy, Stayed here and it's a mess We booked a family room and the first room had a broken TV, the bed sheets were covered in stains and blood and hairs so I complained and they switched us to the room opposite This was just as bad, there was cigarette burns all over the bed covers, on the pictures, We had blood stains on the curtains, the shower was filthy so we didn't bother using it, the toilet lock was broken, the TV was sticky and dusty, you got stuck to the floor as you entered I've emailed them 4 days ago though the website and still had no reply. The front door has a code to get in which nobody told us about so upon returning from our evening meal we were left outside for 15 minutes while we waited for reception to return, tried to phone but the phone is on reception Overall I guess you get what you pay for, Pay the extra and stay somewhere else
