We checked in on Sunday and booked for 2 nights, unfortunately we had to leave early so only stayed 1 night. Check-in was a little chaotic as reception is via the counter for the cafe which was very busy. The Priory doesn’t have a car park however car parking is available on the street and is free (on the opposite side of the road) but is a first come first served basis. The room is very compact and has all the facilities that you would expect to find however the only surface to place the kettle was the bedside table and there is a lack of plug sockets. The cleanliness of the room was ok but we did find a number of long black hairs on the quilt. The walk-in shower was powerful and the bathroom was clean and pleasant. The room unfortunately faces the patio outdoor eating area so to maintain privacy the curtains need to be drawn which closes the room in further. Breakfast is extra but offered at a 20% discount for residents and is certainly worth it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and interacted with us and advised us about what was available locally.

Stayed with two adult children. Nice location, nice town and great breakfast.

Priory Tearoom has lovely rooms for a couple nights stay. Great shower, warm duvet on the bed, and an electric pot for tea and coffee. There was a beautiful garden area with small tables and chairs to relax which was nice since there was no place to sit in the room except for the bed. The staff was super friendly and helpful with all our questions.

Enjoyed the stay, there was no reception, but that mattered not as they left clear instructions on how to get into the room. I know the breakfast is fab, having stayed before, but it was disappointing that breakfast starts at 9.30am, I had to leave by 9.10am
