The accommodation was very clean. The staff were very polite and informative The breakfast was adequate, and for what we paid, we had no issues at all There was an amazing Indian restaurant across the road well worth the visit amazing table menu deal and bottle of wine all for £50 for two The hotel is currently being used for Council assistance which is not a problem, helpful too know In advance

Definitely rough around the edges and could do with a good renovation but for the price we paid it was ok. Staff that we spoke to were all lovely, breakfast was offered for the morning and the car park charge was explained. Check in was straight forward and room was easy to find and the hotel was close to Sheffield arena and Meadowhall which is what we were staying for so location is spot on. Walking into the room however we first saw a big stain on the bedding, only one very thin pillow each, a big hole in the bath tub (the outside part), broken toilet seat and the shower head looked like it hadn't had a good clean.. ever 😅. There was a lot of cobwebs and thick dust behind the TV which was very easy to see as you walk in. The shower took AGES to heat up as well. We're not moany people so it didn't bother us but I do like to write honest reviews of what we got for our money. There's was some type of party going on downstairs which went on till the early hours of the morning with very loud people sitting in the carpark right outside our window, but again we are easy sleepers so this wasn't a problem for us but if it's someone elderly or with young children staying here this would of been a problem. The next morning check out was simple and the cleaner we spoke to was nice so we went on our way. Overall, if you want a cheap n cheerful place to sleep then it will do.

The room was large and although the carpet was very stained the rest of the room and bathroom was clean. Bed comfortable. Only one bath and hand towel, we had to go down to reception for two others. No spare toilet roll. Tea bags in the room were unwrapped so I was glad I brought my own. Public areas were not very clean, door plates on the corridor doors were dirty and carpets worn and not clean, especially on the stairs. Breakfast was bad! Dull breakfast area with sticky tables, no table cloths, paper or otherwise. Three boxes of cereal to choose from, apple or orange juice but paper cups, toast and jam. We requested any sort of plant based milk or spread, they had none. Apparently the kitchen did a “full English breakfast” but no vegan or vegetarian option. There was a charge for parking your car, which I didn’t see mentioned when booking. This hotel could do with a visit from Alex Polizzi and has a long way to go to come up to Premier Inn standards.

It’s really annoying that hotels nowadays. Don’t tell you the cost of parking they say they have parking but they don’t say you have to pay for it. It really is annoying. It’s just a money spinner.
