Been staying here for years, superb location in Penshurst next the great House. Very quite. Usually five star rating but disappointed this time. House keeping not great, cobwebs on the coving and ceiling. Given a different room than the one we booked after travelling a long way. No mirror for the room so the wife couldnt dry her hair. Asked for one and told no. Quite surprised. Generally though pretty good.

Lovely pub and hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was quaint and well stocked with everything we needed. It was very hot in the room but it was in the middle of a heatwave and a fan was provided. The food in the restaurant was really good quality but it was pricey. The only down side we experienced was the price of the breakfast where you had to pay extra for coffee which it didnt specify on the menu. The quality of the food itself again was lovely but it was abit steep for breakfast and to include service charge on the bill too made it the most expensive breakfast weve ever had!

Fantastic, I will be back. I have to mention, though, that sleeping on the top floor in the summer with nights of 19 degrees, is a challenge, the rooms get incredibly hot. There's a fan, as apparently listed buildings like this can't have A/C. How that works during hot summer days I'm not sure.

My wife and I enjoy weekends away and consequently have mixed hotel experiences. We are therefore in a position to thoroughly recommend the Leicester Arms, Penshurst. A trully beautifully renovated Pub/Hotel. The food was excellent and the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Also very good value for money. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We shall be visiting again.

The Leicester Arms is a delight. The food is excellent, the staff are charming and we had a very comfortable night's sleep. I would definitely go back there, it's such s lovely part of the country for a short stay.
