The room was spacious and spotless. Very comfortable bed, crisp white linen, spacious shower room too although shower needs attention as grouting pretty black in parts, this morning I couldn't get the shower to work. Looked for a pull cord or switch too, but couldn't find one. Couldn't find anyone to ask if there was something I wasn't doing, but it was a basic older type shower which I've not had trouble with before. I ate in the restaurant, adequate pub grub main, but my advice is avoid the 'tropical fruit pavlova' which was truly the most disgusting synthetic tasting pub desert I've ever tasted. Not even real cream. So I wouldn't eat there out of choice, but would certainly recommend the room itself and location.

We stopped one night, on the way down to Folkestone. Nice character pub good beers and food. The room was comfortable and clean.

Fairly basic but clean and good value, nice room with outside patio. Food available in the evening only basic breakfast during the week.

I needed a place to stay for work that was low cost but nice. This exceeded all expectations. At £65 it was brilliant! Bed was comfy, the room was country cottage and the pub is just idyllic. As someone with coeliac disease being able to order food is a nightmare. They assured me they had a dedicated GF fryer and although cannot say they are coeliac safe are so aware of cross contamination and we're brilliant. Food was lovely too! Would recommend. Might come again just for a break and some peace and quiet!

Everything you need in a beautiful location. Great staff and facilities. Couldn't fault it.
