This is just ok if you need somewhere to settle your head for the night. Was cold when entered, but think heating on timer as it warned later. Advertises as breakfast but this is actually a sausage sandwich, cornflakes and alpen and a banna and apple, which is passing itself of as continental breakfast and left in a fridge in your room. This felt a little inpersonal, sheets were clean, decor is warn and shower was dirty, the top of the handwash ( screwbit) was really yucky. toilet seat needed fixing too, it moved... Staff who I saw were friendly but didnt see to much of them.. Like I said not the worst, just ok

We stayed for two nights. The room was bigger than expected from the pictures. Facilities were perfectly adequate, for the price. The breakfast and food available in the pub was excellent, and very good value for money. We would stay here again.

Our accomodation was a very pleasant outbuilding at the rear of the pub. Fairly basic but very functional and clean. Our host Gordon was very pleasant. The pub itself has had a recent refurb and is nice. The breakfast was outstanding. Would happily revisit if in the area again.

Easy to park in pub off road parking, easy sign in with a pleasant query to my next day travel plans. Was tired out after 550 mile drive over two days so got the fresh milk from the fridge had a cup of tea had a shower and then slept through comfy bed no noise. Woke to have a good breakfast with plenty of choise. Before continueing with my travel. Had no problems with my stay and would book again if passing this way again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Don Tavern, it's in a nice peaceful location, clean and has good facilities and the food was lovely. Would highly recommend. We will go again. 🙂
