Good hotel. Very well kept grounds. Staff in Opal restuarant terrific - service was great and very personable - and breakfasts in particular were excellent.Booked accessible room and this was the only aspect of stay that caused disappointment. Room did not really provide enough space for a wheelchair user, sink too high and design seemed to have been given more thought than assistance to guest with reduced mobility. That said I would use hotel again if was in the area.

Great value

My wife and I had an incredibly disappointing experience during our stay. When we arrived for breakfast, our waiter explicitly told us that our food would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. Based on that assurance, we sat down and waited. Unfortunately, those 10 minutes turned into a much longer, indefinite wait. Despite the restaurant not appearing overly busy, our food never arrived. When we eventually managed to get the waiter’s attention to ask for an update, he admitted that they had completely forgotten our order. As a result, we had to leave, due to our taxi arriving to an important religious event, without eating anything at all. When I raised this issue at reception the following day, another waiter—who was standing closer to us—refused to take responsibility for the mistake and simply told me they had been busy the previous morning. This response was dismissive and did not acknowledge the failure in service. We paid a significant amount of money for our stay, including breakfast, yet we did not receive the service we were promised or the standard we expected. It is one thing for a kitchen to be backed up, but to be forgotten entirely after being given a specific (and short) timeframe is completely unacceptable.

Very impressed with Radstone. Staff were very helpful, hotel was easy to find and very convenient to major routes. Parking is important to me as I tow a long trailer, but there is plenty of space. The room and en suite was clean, the bed comfy and the shower lovely and hot and powerful. I especially found the blackout curtains great as arriving tired after a very long day and wanting an early night, the curtains made the room completely dark despite a bright evening sun streaming into the window. I didn’t sample the restaurant or the breakfast, but I’m sure they would have been equally good. As for value, really good. Would certainly stay again.

A modern, efficient and well appointed facility with helpful staff and an excellent restaurant. Great value for money.
