I was visiting relatives for a family function and needed somewhere to stay en route. I had a twin room, which was clean and the shower was pleasant. The breakfast was basic but OK, the facilities (clearly designed as a function hotel) were OK. Bar closed at 9pm. There is a lovely fish and chip shop opposite, and the short walk to the end of the loch is lovely. Location is right by the road, but I can sleep through anything and the road noise was mostly kept out by closing the windows (might be worse in summer). Overall excellent value for money.

When we arrived at the Hotel it looked a little run down from the outside but we went inside to check in and found a very helpful and funny male receptionist who welcomed us in even though he was on the phone at the time. After finishing his call he found our room key and directed us to our room. Upon opening the door we noticed that there were no sheets on the bed. We went back outside and a gentleman in the corridor told us that the laundry had been delivered late but he would make the room up as soon as he could. We went back down stairs to sit and wait in the reception. The receptionist offered us drinks while we waited and apologized for the delay. He then returned from the bar with two drinks for us free of charge. Around 10 minutes later we were told that our room was ready. When we got there everything was ready for us and from then on all went well and we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

I stayed in a single room with a shower. The room is super small but overwise has almost everything you might need. Windows do not open, so some days it was a bit to warm. Water is drinkable. Things I missed - hairdryer. But I believe the staff would have help out, I just didn’t ask about it. They were really sweet and hospitable, helped me out a lot with other things, so don’t be afraid to ask. Thank you!

We were heading to Macrihanish and this seemed the perfect stop off. I saw a few dodgy reviews on other platforms but our room was great, newly refurbished, spacious and clean. All windows open, wish the staff would crack the windows to allow them to air more, but easily done yourself. A tiny bit rough around the edges (thinking the rusty bin in the bathroom specifically) but overall great value.

Lovely location,it was only a stop off for us,but the room was clean,the staffs were helpful and the facilities we used were fine. Bars and shops convenient, ample parking and connectedness to west coast by bus.
