The Anchorage

This hotel was ideal for our one night stay in Troon, Hotel was very basic, room could do with a paintjob and window was cracked but bed and bathroom were clean. we basically went out for the night and returned to the room and slept so were not looking for anything fancy breakfast was a 6 out of ten

Our stay was amazing. Everything we needed was there. Rooms clean and warm. Staff were amazing too. Having breakfast included was all very worth the price we paid. Will be going back again soon.

Arrived at anchorage hotel and check in was chaotic, room given was not acceptable . But I must say room was changed immediately, however room given had very dirty windows and a huge crack all the way down the glass.. At the same time there seemed to be a party going on along the corridor with people smoking, I assume there was some kind of alarm going off as I got asked several times when I was sitting at the upstairs reception if I was the smoker. Room was not cleaned once during my stay ( 3 nights) no fresh towels or shampoo or shower gel after the first night Breakfast was meant to be included however was to staff shortage would only be able to get something after 9.30 when housekeeper came in. As I needed to on my way by 8 this was totally unacceptable. Place is clean but very tired , used to come to the hotel regularly a few years ago would never return

The Anchorage exceeded my expectations on all fronts. The room felt like stepping back in time(in a good way) and ginger cookies awaited me in the room upon my arrival. The room itself was quiet and private, with a modest but lovely view. Location was super convenient to town and the beach, and made for an easy walk to Wee Hurrie, best fish & chips I’ve ever had. I was served a massive complimentary breakfast in the morning, vegetarian upon request. Would happily stay again next I’m in Troon.

Stayed here as a couple overnight, and had a lovely breakfast the next morning which was included in the price. The room was basic, but it was clean, there was customer parking, and the staff at the anchorage couldn’t have been friendlier. Excellent value for money, and the pub had plenty of character
