Spark by Hilton Lancaster Dutch Country

This hotel is in the process of changing ownership. No coffee Maker, no ice bucket, no cups or glasses, No pen nor paper, Hot tub was out of order , Recliner chair was shredded probably by some pet, The carpeting was also shredded in various spots. Worst of all, even though a breakfast was advertised, they did not serve one. Also advertised was coffee tea and water in the common areas. This was also not available.

Why I wouldn't stay there ever. Room loaded with cockroachs, mold around tub, dirty carpets and it goes on. Sleep in the street or in a tent anywhere but here.

When I arrived the room I booked and the room we got was not right. When I told them that and showed them all they would say is there is nothing they could do because all room r booked. There wasn't that many people there to be booked full. The spa was closed and online it say open. Not that I was going swimming but it say pool outside and there is no pool. Also got up Saturday morning and there was no breakfast and on my confirmation said free breakfast. Staff was not nice. Ran out of hot water and the water wasn't very hot maybe luke warm. I will proably not stay there again.

We stayed here in a pinch. Upon arrival it looked rundown. Walked in and smelled pleasant(cleaner/air freshener) Desk staff was average. We got a 3rd floor room...opened the door and the smell hit you hard!! Old cigarettes and dingy smelling. We opened the window and there was no safety system in place at all, window fully opened with no screen or safety precautions at all. We requested another room but were told they had no E available. We aired out the room while we went to dinner. It was chilly when we got back so we put on the heater and it smelled so bad we shut it off immediately and then aired out the room again. We were cold, but on a plus note, the beds were comfy and clean! Clean white sheets and pillow cases that smelled fresh. The shower was clean and the water pressure was good. The sink was cracked and repaired with caulk. Bottom line is, it worked in a pinch as we were only there to sleep.

NOWHERE did it say that they require an EXTRA $100 ROOM DEPOSIT, that they then hold for A WEEK!!! Bullshit, lying front desk clerk said it would be returned onto my account the next day at noon!
