Great location with chargeable pre booked parking beneath the hotel. Staff were very pleasant and everywhere we saw was squeaky clean. As per far too many city chain hotels, in my opinion, they charge too much because too many business type people are happy for their companies to pay for their stay. Breakfast was great for choice but as expected, the supposed hot food was luke warm and poor quality. It’s put out at 07.30 ish and sits around as per most chain hotels.

Possibly our bad luck. At check in the lady at reception said some rooms on 10th floor had aircon problems and they were working on it. Said our room may or may not have a problem. Once we got to our room, within two minutes the cleaning lady was there with a fan! I explained what we were told. She laughed as she already had the fan and knew there was no air conditioning! Reception lady at check in lied to us on check in at 8.15 pm on 1st August! She knew there was no air conditioning. Bar was closed at 10.30 pm on a thursday night and yet they say 24 hour room service ( we did not try). On checking out at 10 am on 2nd Aug, the reception lady was exceptionally helpful and sincerely apologised for inconvenience. She was very helpful indeed. She said she would refund 20% of our room cost to make up. Breakfast was nice and the lady was very welcoming.

Lovely room upgrade Tea/codfee on offer and bottle of water and fruit for an early checkout Definitely would stay again
