We were there for the Brighton Marathon, and we were told we would be put in a room on a “higher level so that it’s quieter for you” … we were on the third floor and didn’t sleep a wink the night before the race… the windows are terrible (single glazed maybe?) so it sounded like they were open when they were definitely firmly shut. But people shouting and making noise outside, the battering wind, traffic etc. all sounded like it was happening in the room. We also discovered (on our second night) that our room wasn’t locked/lockable once we were inside it- so anyone could have just walked in at any time. The hotel room itself was clean and a good size, the service and food in restaurant were also good. The communal areas of the hotel are very tatty. I wouldn’t stay here again, especially for the eye watering price we paid. But if you are a heavy sleeper who isn’t bothered by the potential noise … then the location is good and certain there are worse places!

Good location, friendly staff, but no fridge as the receptionist said no fridge at some rooms, it was hot and we needed to put something in the fridge that made us a little unhappy, also poor internet connection in our room actually no internet at all There wasn’t also a good air conditioning, it was hot and there was only a small fan available

The Queens hotel is an old building, so as such, it needs some tlc. We stayed in an apartment, from the outside, not great. The interior is a pleasant surprise. It has a well appointed kitchenette, with every you need. The main bedroom has a comfy bed. The spa again a little tired, needs some work is a nice addition. In summary we stayed two nights& were happy. Would stay again.

Initially got a great deal on the price booking with Agoda, overall very happy, cannot complain. If staying again I would try a different room, maybe it wasn't a great room reflective of the price paid. Room was fine and ok / good for cleanliness, Inside of bed felt clean and comfortable. View onto Kings road, bit stuffy. The hot water at basin boiling hot and unusable, Cold water was fine, Bathroom ok, tired in places, Didn't use the bath / shower but looked in working order. Paid £40 for late checkout at 1pm, £20 an hour bit much, we would have booked a second night there for what the extra 2 hours cost but already had a different location booked and didn't want to mess that around. Front desk polite and helpful. Didn't use the swimming pool but had a look would definitely like to use if staying again.

Starting off with thr positives: - amazing location on the beach front - the hotel had breakfast included which had a good variety including vegan options - our apartment had a walk in shower which was great for my elderly family member I went with - pool was clean, even with children using the facilities and maintained well - they had a steam room, sauna and gym which was really useful - the hotel accommodated having disabled access - staff were amazing and super helpful - stayed at the apartment but would like to stay in the main hotel next time Not so great aspects: - wifi pretty much non- existent in apartments east wing outside main hotel - apartments look really run down on the outside - layout to go to the sauna and steam room was a bit odd so there was always sign for wet floor basically - apartment was bit rundown and because of pub next door it was quite noisy and also noisy for people upstairs as we were on ground floor.
