The bathroom is a throwback from the 70's. The shower needs primed and has poor water distribution. There are broken and loose tiles on the bathroom floor with sharp edges. The toilet didn't flush. The mattress was dented into the shape of several previous visitors! The room smelled badly of damp, which my clothes now smell of. This hotel needs modernised and brought up to modern day standards to be able to justify the prices they charge!!

Very poor in this day and age!

Fraudulent representation of dog friendly accommodation!
I booked a nice room, advised them of my companion animals and upon arrival the staff were suprised that I was there at all. Once they realised I was travelling with my Education Support Samoyed and my Pug, I was walked along multiple corridors to the back of the hotel. The room was the worst I've ever seen. Stained, old carpet, many cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, a saggy old double bed. The escort literally bolted off before I could process the level of impoverishment the room exuded! I left. I let them keep my money. Everywhere in Scotland, my clean, friendly dogs have been greeted with enthusiasm. I have stayed in beautiful properties with no issue. I am happy to pay bonds, and pay extra fees for dog companions. I am extremely unhappy to have been downgraded without adequate explanation. I am very unhappy that the room I booked was so completely and fraudulently misrepresented online.
