Kongfang Wilderness Retreat

It took us about a 3-hour drive from Chiang Mai city to get to this peaceful village, but it was absolutely worth ! The environment here is stunning, and seeing water buffaloes right around the resort was such a unique and charming experience. The resort offers extremely high value for money. On top of that, the lady owner was super warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. She even took us on a nice tour around the local area! We had a wonderful time here and would definitely love to come back.

Had an incredible stay here at KongFang. The villa was modern and well equipped with great attention to design and details. A separate AC in the bathroom? Amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful the entire stay. Food was wonderful and in general, the view was out of this world. Kongfang is literally a little slice of heaven hidden deep in the mountains away from Chiang Dao with unbeatable views. Makes the whole drive worth it. Perhaps the only thing that would make it 100% perfect would be a bit stronger water pressure but that’s like a perfect world recommendation as everything else was flawless. Not sure if I’ll ever be able to make the trip back here, but if I do, this would be among the top choices in all of northern Thailand.

ทางไปน่ากลัวนิดหน่อย ขับค่อนข้างยาก รถเล็กativไปได้ ถนนราดยาง แต่ทางขึ้นลงเขาชัน ไกลจากเชียงดาวอีกชั่วโมงนิดๆ แต่คุ้มค่ามาก บรรยากาศดี สวย ใหม่ สงบ ห้องน้ำกว้าง สะอาด แต่น้ำไหลไม่ค่อยแรง ผ้าเช็ดตัวขนฟุ้งมากตอนเช้านี่ขนผ้าเช็ดตัวกระจายทั่วห้องเลย แจ้งพนักงานเขาบอกผ้าเช็ดตัวใหม่อยู่ เลยขนร่วง มีบอร์ดเกม จักรยาน อุปกรณ์กีฬาให้ยืมเล่น มีกาแฟดริปให้ลองทำตอนเช้า พนักงานชื่อพี่นาย บริการดีมาก มีกิจกรรมไปล่องแพไม้ไผ่ คิดเพิ่มห้องละ900บ. ไปชมหมอกตอนเช้าเราไม่ได้ไปเพราะพนักงานแจ้งว่าช่วงนี้ไม่ค่อยสวย และหน้าที่พักก็มีหมอกเหมือนกัน แล้วต้องตื่นตี5 เลยนอนดีกว่า อาหารเย็น มีให้เลือก2อย่าง ชุดอาหารพื้นเมือง และชุดหมูกระทะ อร่อยทั้งคู่ อาหารเช้าตอนเราไปมีข้าวต้มกุ๊ย และ ขนมปังอะโวคาโด้ ให้เลือกคนละเซต โดยรวมดีค่ะ น่าไปซ้ำ ติดตรงทางไปนี่แหละ

Fantastic spot, amazing staff, delicious food!

There are not many places to stay in Muang Kong, but we really wanted to wake up before sunrise and see the "sea of mists". So we booked the Kongfang Wilderness Resort - over our usual budget, but so worth it! Inn, the owner's mother, took such great care of us. The room was beautiful with a wonderful view of the mountains. She arranged dinner for us that night and also the transport for the next morning up the mountain for the "sea of mists" (highly recommend!!!). Breakfast was wonderful and we also had a fabulous lunch before we had to head back over the mountain. The road to the town is full of curves and hills, but lovely drive and worth a stop at the Banlisu Cafe in the town off Route 3024. Highly recommend Kongfang Wilderness Retreat!! Thank you again, Inn.
