Staffs were stupid and I did not even have the chance to stay in this hotel. Agoda should take action and pay me back in full..

First time and maybe last time
I usually stay in hotels, but this time I decided to try a homestay. I fully understood from the beginning that a homestay operates differently from a hotel, so my expectations were already adjusted accordingly. Unfortunately, even the most basic aspects of the stay were poorly handled. After my booking was confirmed, I repeatedly received confirmation messages showing incorrect check-in and check-out dates. For example, my actual stay was from 22–30 September, yet their system kept sending different dates. This did not happen just once. When I contacted MWM Group, which they are managing the unit on behalf of the landlord, I was told it was a “system glitch/error.” Fair enough except the exact same issue happened again even after they had explained it. Things did not improve after check-in. The room window faced what appeared to be the back area of a restaurant kitchen. During staff breaks, employees would gather there to chat and laugh, which created noticeable noise. When I contacted the same number I had been communicating with throughout the booking process, the response was slow. I was eventually told to contact another number for customer service, a number that had never been provided or mentioned to me previously. So lame. From a guest's perspective, this was very frustrating. Instead of taking ownership of the issue or assisting directly, I felt I was simply being passed from one contact to another. Pushing around as if a headless chicken. Eventually, I told them to forget about it because it was becoming a whole waste of time. I decided to make do with the room and continue my stay. However, once I started settling in, I noticed how poorly the room had been cleaned before my arrival. There was visible dust around several areas, including corners of the room, the windows, kettle area and washing-machine area. There were even cobwebs in some corners. I ended up buying several packets of wet wipes myself and cleaning much of the room areas all by myself. At one point, I genuinely felt as though I had checked in to provide housekeeping service for the unit rather than to enjoy a comfortable stay myself. What a joke. The unit also came with only two clothes hangers, and they were broken. I eventually went to MR DIY and purchased close to 10 hangers myself, which I left behind for future guests. What surprised me even more was that when I mentioned this to the management, there was neither an apology nor even a simple “thank you for that” That part of my message was simply ignored. What a great way to reply selectively. For all reference, check-in is strictly at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Of course, every property is entitled to set its own policy, but compared with many hotels where guests commonly see around 2:00–3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM–12:00 PM check-out, the overall arrangement here did not feel particularly guest-friendly at all. Service way fall behind and yet they are very stern with every bit of the goodwill. My takeaway is simple: if your main priority is a much lower accommodation rate and you are prepared to accept a very basic level of service and manage certain issues yourself, this may still be an acceptable option. However, if you value cleanliness, proper guest support, responsive service and a more professionally managed accommodation experience, I would personally choose a hotel instead. The lower price simply was not worth the unnecessary inconvenience in my experience. And 1 last thing to add, their washer is only a washer and not washer cum dryer. You will need to think of ways to dry your load of clothings after your wash and they also do not provide detergent.
