Came for 2 days... ended up staying a whole month! :) That pretty much sums up how much I liked it :) Horizon Homestay is my favorite place in Nepal. The family running it are the kindest, sweetest hosts you could hope for. They made me feel at home and I consider them my Nepali adoptive family :) And the house is very nice : the rooms are comfortable and clean, the views are amazing, and they make the best food in town in my opinion. I actually ended up eating every day all 3 meals there, because the food is great, I know the kitchen is clean, and it's actually cheaper than eating outside, so why would I bother eating anywhere else :) And they can cook 100% vegan no problem! Their breakfast pancakes with fruit, and their dal bahts are very yummy and filling! And they can also make you a very nice breakfast porridge, or pretty much anything you ask them. They location is great, with amazing views of Tansen and the mountains, and it's very close to the forest at the top of the hill, you can go for nice walks around easily. It's also close to the town center, if you want to do any shopping or visit the town hallmarks. Thank you Dhani, Janaki and Indu for the lovely time spent together! :)

We spent 5 nights here in April 2026. Dani and Janaki are excellent hosts, making lovely breakfasts and providing lots of helpful suggestions and arranging onward transport. The house is clean and comfortable with great views and walks. Great to hear from them about all the local initiatives they are involved in to make Tansen a lovely place for Tourists to stop and stay while visiting Nepal.

Secret place in Nepal that nobody knows a lot about. Horizon homestay is amazing. The hosts are exceptionally amazing.

Best place to stay in Tansen, super friendly owner. Delicious breakfast including avocado, fruits, omelette, fresh coffee. Good wifi, great terrace, very central location. Spacious room.
