Isla Mystica Beach Resort

Me and my husband was very happy as the place is truly beautiful with the beach view. They are continuously renovating the place to make it more attractive. I surely come back to this hotel. I highly recommended the Isla Mystica😍😍😍

The Good ​Atmosphere & Aesthetics: The hotel has a quiet, serene environment with beautifully decorated, aesthetic facilities. ​Room Comfort: The bed is very comfortable, and the room is well-equipped with both a ceiling fan and an air conditioner. ​Customer Service: Staff are prompt and helpful; when served a sour Americano, they replaced it immediately without issue. ​Actual Noise Level: Despite the ongoing work, there was little to no noticeable construction noise during the stay. ​The Bad ​Misrepresented Room View: Booked a sea view room, but the window mainly overlooked the reception area with people looking back in, offering minimal privacy and compromising the promised view. ​Limited Payment Options: Credit and debit cards are not accepted; payment is restricted to cash or online transfers. ​Unreliable Wi-Fi: The signal is exceptionally weak, preventing internet access inside the room and rendering the smart TV unusable. ​Undisclosed Construction & Policy: Guests were required to sign a construction waiver (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) upon arrival that was never mentioned during booking. ​Unfair Refund Policy: Management refused to offer a refund when the undisclosed construction was revealed, forcing a sign-off on the terms without giving the guest an informed choice prior to payment. Notice on Location & Nightlife Access ​If you are visiting Siquijor for the nightlife and want to stay near the popular party spots, this property is not ideal. It is situated on the far end of San Juan rather than the central strip. While it has a "San Juan" address, it is a bit of a distance from the main hub, so keep this location in mind when booking if you prefer to be within easy walking distance of the action.

Only problem for me was the location of the hotel. A bit far from San Juan which is where most restaurants are located, but it is in between San Juan and Lazi so it makes up for that. The hotel is currently under renovation currently expanding the rooms and adding new amenities. Staff is friendly as well and is able to speak either English, Bisaya or Tagalog

The resort is current under renovation right now. I believe they are in for something greater. The place is good if your lookinh for a peaceful moment.
