Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and kind and my room was very nice. I couldn't figure out how to get the hot water on in the shower but that could have just been a me issue.

I normally don’t write negative reviews, I usually just don’t leave a review. But this case needed a review. I could not recommend staying here any less as there was almost no redeeming qualities. I communicated my arrival with the host as asked, but when I arrived, the entire facility was dark, inside and out. It was especially hard to get to as the bus stop is 10 minutes walk away and there is nowhere to walk with luggage, especially reaching the gravel driveway. I had to carry my luggage as it would not roll. So if you do arrive, take an overpriced taxi or uber that is 30 euros for a 10 minute ride. Then when I arrived, there was no one to greet me, just darkness, I let myself into a dark house, and luckily found the bell. The host comes out as if I am interrupting her evening. The only bedrooms are up a narrow winding staircase, so again, don’t bring luggage. The bed is uncomfortable and smells like sweat. The room is hot and unbearable. When I wake, the breakfast is almost completely just a buffet of breads. There’s also pancakes but no syrup. The coffee was instant cup coffee. After breakfast I head upstairs to gather my things for check out. I check out at 11. I plan to wait for a few minutes before walking to the bus station as I do t enjoy waiting at bus stops especially with luggage. After 10 minutes, the host asks me to leave because she has an appointment and has to lock the doors. I ask, where can I go that’s not the bus stop… she says I don’t know but you have to leave. She then says I have to go because a friend is coming to the house. So I ask, can I wait until the friend arrives? She says no I must leave. I say ok, can I wait outside with the lawn furniture? She says ok. I wait outside in the cold, luckily I brought my sweater, for about 15-20 minutes. Host never left the house nor did anyone arrive. I’m not a scary or intimidating person, so I can’t imagine she was worried about me. I have never been treated so poorly by a host in my life. If someone doesn’t feel comfortable hosting a male then they should not be hosting. I would not recommend staying here.
