Most surprising is we were denied stay at last moment (evening while checking in) inspite of call confirmation that morning. A guy had called and stated that there was a maintenance issue with the studio suit we had booked but they'll arrange alternative room for us, however on arrival the guy in reception mentioned that all the rooms are occupied and the existing guests extended they stay and there were no maintenance issues. We insisted that we had traveled from Bangalore and last minute cancelation leaves us no option as that area was on the outskirts and had no other good stays available around at that hour. Later they took us to another nearby building stating that they have arranged alternative room and the room they showed was in an abandoned building on terrace with no other people residing in the entire building and they said this is the max that they could arrange and other stays around are even more worse than this though we had paid for a Studio Suite. We were worried seeing the alternative stay as there were family along and after a long argument with the reception guy, he called the MD as we finally requested refund as we did not have any other option left and they offered coffee to compensate the situation, which was weird. We finally got back the amount we paid for the stay and ended up going 25kms into Vizag city and found a hotel who helped us check in late at night.
