It was my mother’s first time visiting Bantayan Island, and I specifically chose Anaya Villas Resort because it looked peaceful, exclusive, and like the perfect place to relax away from the stress of everyday life. As always, I booked our stay through Agoda, which has always been my go-to platform for hotels and resorts. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a memorable family vacation turned into a very disappointing and stressful experience. When we arrived at the resort, the receptionist informed us that we did not have a room available, despite the fact that our Agoda booking was fully confirmed and paid for. They could even see in their own system that we had paid for a 3-day, 2-night stay from August 5–7, 2026, yet they still insisted that there was no room assigned to us. They even asked if I had cancelled the reservation, which I absolutely had not. Thankfully, I had all of my Agoda confirmation documents with me. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. Instead of reassuring us or sincerely apologizing, the receptionist came across as dismissive and gave the impression that accommodating us was more of an inconvenience than a responsibility. There was very little effort to make us feel welcome after their mistake. After waiting and trying to resolve the issue, we were told that although we had paid for two nights, we could only stay at Anaya Villas for the first night. For the second night, we would have to transfer to one of their other resorts located in a different part of Bantayan Island. Imagine having to pack all of your belongings again, load everything into the car, and relocate in the middle of your vacation. I was traveling with my mother, my wife, and my young daughter, so this unnecessary transfer completely disrupted what should have been a relaxing family trip. We were fortunate to have brought our own vehicle because it would have been even more difficult for guests relying on public transportation. The most alarming part was that on our second day, I overheard another group checking in who appeared to be experiencing the exact same issue. That made me question whether this was an isolated mistake or an ongoing problem with how reservations are managed. I understand that booking errors can happen, but what matters is how a business responds. Unfortunately, this experience reflected poor reservation management, poor communication, and a lack of genuine concern for guests who had already paid in full and traveled to enjoy their vacation. If you’re planning to stay at Anaya Villas Resort, I strongly encourage you to think carefully before booking. No family should have to begin their vacation wondering whether the room they paid for actually exists or whether they’ll be forced to move resorts halfway through their stay. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues so that future guests won’t have to go through the same frustrating experience that my family did.

They have a great location beach-wise. It's just that it's far from the center so it would cost you relatively more on trimotor fare if you commute. Nevertheless, if you have a private car/motorcycle, I highly recommend this place since it has a really peaceful vibes where you can relax and enjoy the island on its serene side.

We booked for family room with ocean view but upon arriving, we were told it was occupied and only available room is the garden view next to an ongoing construction. It was too noisy with Jackhammer going for the most part of the day. I tried to contact their main booking office but my calls were not answered. No response in email too. Filed a complaint in Agoda and I was only told I was provided same room type when it was clearly not. Location is also far from other restaurants, it will cost around 100 per person per way if you will go to town proper. Their own restaurant also has limited options with most of the menu selection not available at the time. Takes about more than an hour before an order comes, can be doubled if an order came before yours. Overall not recommended.
