If you love good food, cleanliness, friendly staff, and a true 4-star experience, I would strongly advise you not to stay at this hotel. This was honestly one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. Food and Dining First of all, this is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The buffet was the smallest I have ever seen in my life. There were only around six trays of food, a few salads, one soup, and a very limited dessert selection. The food lacked variety and quality, and every day felt exactly the same. Cleanliness The cleanliness throughout the hotel was very poor. The floors in the rooms were not properly swept, the hallways were dirty, the balcony was dirty, and even the restaurant windows and floors were not clean. Rooms and Maintenance The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. We stayed in two different rooms, and both had serious maintenance issues. In the first room, there was no shower door at all, which I have never seen before in any hotel. There were also dead flies on the bathroom floor. In the second room, the furniture was falling apart with pieces of wood missing, and there was water leaking from the shower. There was also sometimes a shortage of hot water when trying to take a shower. Facilities The swimming pool does not open until 10:00 a.m., meaning guests are left waiting in the heat every morning. Finding a sunbed was almost impossible. Guests reserve them from as early as 7:00 a.m. and then disappear for hours. The hotel does nothing to stop this and has no policy in place to prevent it. For families with children, I would not recommend this hotel at all. There is very little entertainment and almost nothing for children to do. There is also no gym, despite expectations for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. Staff Service The staff were one of the biggest disappointments. Some of the Greek employees were extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. The restaurant manager, Anke, shouted at me in front of other guests simply because I picked up a glass and then put it back. I have never been spoken to like that in a hotel before. I also witnessed a man at the bar near reception speaking very rudely and aggressively to a lady who simply asked for her drink without ice. Most of the staff at reception were unfriendly and seemed uninterested in helping guests. The only person who was genuinely kind and welcoming was Maria. Overall Impression The only positive thing about this holiday was the weather. Overall, I would rate this hotel closer to a 3-star property. Poor food, poor cleanliness, poor maintenance, rude staff, and very limited facilities made this a disappointing Istay. I would not recommend this hotel to family, friends, or anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
