Mekong Villas

The location of the villa’s are very remote so you need your own transport. By arrival a very friendly and helpful stafmember give us a nice welcome and to our suprise we got an upgrade to a Thai House (42) , thank you very much! The views of the Mekong river are fantastic, a small nice garden is around the houses, well maintained Dinner and lunch can be ordered from the local staff and are served on the terrace with the view of the river in the background, the quality and taste of the food was excellent. The Thai house (room) was spacious and clean but need some renovation s (bathroom). We enjoin our stay very much and thanks for the good and friendly service.

Nice room and comfy bed. A little pricey though considering the location.

Transport to this hotel was almost non existent and transport away from it cost $200. Staff have zero English. If you are Thai and drive yourself the location is lovely. For a foreigner relying on taxis or buses it simply didn’t work at all. The view was pleasant. The remoteness was scary. For the price some refreshing lemongrass scented towels, a hotel car and a multilingual manager would help. The place was empty when we arrived and we were shown to the worst room when I would have been glad to pay extra for a more charming one. Smacks of an absent and disinterested farang owner.
