Cherlynn resort

We were genuinely looking forward to staying at Cherlynn Resort—the photos, atmosphere, and amenities looked wonderful, and it clearly has so much potential for a great stay. Unfortunately, our experience before even arriving left us deeply disappointed. Due to severe flooding in Bangkok and neighboring areas, alongside potential storm warnings in the resort’s location, a natural disaster beyond anyone’s control forced us to cancel our trip as traveling was simply impossible and unsafe. Knowing this was an unforeseen emergency, we reached out to the hotel directly via phone call, email, and online channels, hoping for a bit of empathy, understanding, or at least assistance with rescheduling or a partial resolution. Sadly, our attempts to communicate directly went completely ignored. The hotel refused to respond to our request and simply deflected all responsibility to Agoda, offering zero support or flexibility on their end. While we understand third-party policies exist, the total lack of compassion and communication during a genuine crisis was disheartening. Tip for future travelers: If you do decide to book this property, we strongly recommend booking directly with the hotel rather than through a third-party agent like Agoda. Based on our experience, the hotel completely disengages from online inquiries or support for third-party bookings, leaving you stranded if any emergency arises. It is truly a shame, as we were eager to experience the property firsthand. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback constructively and improves their customer service and response times for future guests.
