Very peaceful location, not near the beach, you are offered a couple of visits a few times per week to white sands and another beach. it’s about a 45-50 minute drive to white sands, we missed the other location. Then a 2 hr. 5 stay at the beach (white sands) To me not long enough. I’d have loved to have see the sunset @18.15 ish. Pool more like a splash pool dues to its shape, clean and several sun beds around the pool great. Due to the location and mangroves the mosquitos appear at sunrise and sunset.(put your spray on) The breakfast included in my package was good, fresh fruit, and a choice of cooked eggs and pancakes. Most staff friendly. Ah, on reception was really helpful, and understood English. I had a massage and sauna, lovely with the detox package, worth thinking about. There are bikes to borrow, (check the bike is safe) and a few other opportunities to do things, like an hour cooking class, too far to cycle to a beach, or restaurants as it’s so hot and hilly. There are scooters to hire and kayaks to use in the mangrove, thet depends if the tide is in. I’m glad I visited this side of the island, I’m a sunset girl but also enjoyed the beauty of the vegetation and fresh vegetables from the land around the spa which we ate.

Nice spa style resort. It’s remote on the east side of the island near the southern end, so if you want tranquility then it’s good. It’s a good hours drive to the busy side of the island. There’s a 7-11 a short drive away but really nothing else much nearby. Longbeach (which is stunning but seems more and more polluted nowadays) is a 20 minute drive away. The room I got was nice. Quite high up with a nice terrace with a view to the lake. Serviced every day with 2 free bottles of water and some small complimentary crisps. I even had a nice quite large circular bath but sadly no one with me to make it worthwhile 😩. The shower was only warm. I asked about it and they explained that’s just how it is. Ho-hum I suppose but I do prefer a proper hot shower. Spa treatment was nice (3hrs for 1700 baht). There are plenty of cheaper shorter options. The open air gym has some old tired equipment that really needs some upgrades. The pool is quite small but its nice with adequate loungers including a few nice more quiet ones within the forest areas. Good for working in private on your mental health. Restaurant is ok with a few reasonable dishes although I was expecting it to be better to be honest. But there are quite a few so-called healthy options, also some vegan options. The bacon chilli spaghetti was actually really good with a liberal dash of the excellent black pepper ground at the table. Perfect when accompanied by a glass of the house white wine! Breakfast is so so. The hot food was cold which always irritates. I also wish they’d take the bones out of the chicken. I mean, why on earth would you leave them in?!?! But you can order a latte which is good although it’s weak. Staff are all lovely. English is a bit tough at times but they are nice and helpful. Well done to them all especially the young ladies in the restaurant.

I had to split my stay between 2 rooms, the first was amazing, large terrace, 2 sun beds and a hammock, with an outdoor circuit bath. Super clean. Second room was basic, perfectly clean, shower head attachment broken, did let them know. There are three excursions to the beach on different days of the week, it’s about a 40min drive to white sands, beautiful beach. You have just over 2 hrs there after being dropped off. I think longer on the beach would have been more beneficial to me. Had the yoga, massage detox package, lovely. Have your mosquito protection as lots as water around. Enjoyed the food, fabulous fresh salad ingredients grown in their garden and the prices fine. The staff were lovely and helpful, special shoutout to Ah, who sorted out our onward journey to Phnom Phen. 🙏🏼

Very helpful staff who accede to my request promptly. On the quieter side of Koh Chang, away from the busy streets. Quiet and peaceful environment. Highly recommended for those who want to stay in serene and less crowded area.
