포세이도니온 그랜드 호텔

We have stayed in Poseidonion Grand Hotel several times over the past 10 years in different rooms. It is an iconic hotel and an architectural masterpiece. Its history is fascinating, so staying here is an experience of its own as it is a landmark of Spetses and Greece. Unfortunately, during our recent visits, this year and last year, we've noticed that the standards of service and quality of facilities have clearly dropped over time and in many cases are not up to the level of a 5* experience anymore. Back in 2016-2019, you could see that the place was very well managed and the standards were high. This is not always the case anymore sadly. This time the welcome was fairly cold and not that professional. We had booked to stay in a double bed room and they allocated us in a twin with two mattresses pushed together. When we mentioned it, the FOH receptionist, who was clearly lacking the training of a 5* hotel, she didn't really apologise and she said they would fix it. The "fix" was just to add a double mattress topper on top of the two single mattresses. Then the A/C was ridiculously noisy in room 211 and the bathroom was flooding when you took a shower even with a closed cabin door. As we would stay only for two nights and we discovered these issues late on our first night, we decided not to mention anything, but I'm surprised they hadn't noticed and addressed themselves both problems. And then a lot of small things that used to be noticeably better: like the new cheaper soap brand vs the old one, broken shower in the pool locker room, the warm bland welcome drink, etc. And last, we were returning customers (of several times) and noone really seemed to care about it or mention it. On the positive side, the dining has improved a lot this year at the hotel. They have hired a very good new executive chef and you can see the big improvement. We had dinner at the Verandah restaurant which was amazing and a lunch at the all-day restaurant the following day. Both meals were excellent.

Bâtiment historique situé face au port ( petit port donc aucune nuisance ) extrême gentillesse du personnel qui vous accueille des la sortie du bateau et vous prend en charge . Petit déjeuner varié et de très bonne qualité . Piscine presque trop chaude 😉 salle de fitness parfaite , Greg un super hôtel à Spetses !

Amazing hotel beautiful and excellent location

The staff here was absolutely amazing and made our stay so fun and memorable. They got us the best reservations, booked our boat and recommended the best beaches. The hotel location was amazing and central. By far the best property on the island of Spetses. Very luxurious and great food and drinks. The pools were beautiful. The concierge Zoe was the absolute best, she made everything so easy and found us the best boat to explore the island. Ilias was a sweetheart and helped us so much with our luggage and transport. The front desk team was always fast to respond to all our requests. Serena was the best host for the amazing breakfast every morning and always made us feel at home. Marilou was an amazing waitress at the restaurant and made sure we had the best meals. THANK YOU to everyone on the team for making our stay so memorable. Cannot wait to come back next year!!!
