Bandipur Safari Lodge-Junglelodge

My primary hope for this trip to Bandipur was to see wild animals and birds in the forest. JLR experience, as usual, exceeded my expectations. The safari was outstanding and my guide/driver (Siddu) is outstanding. We got to see Leopards, Tiger, Sloth Bear, Elephants, spotted Dear along with smaller animals and birds. The meals are excellent, tasty with a very wide spread of healthy, vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Only suggestion would be to incorporate some more fruits into the meals - maybe in the form of juice or dessert. The bonfire was good. The rooms were functional and little rustic. The property is minimalistic and serves the purpose of providing boarding and lodging to safari goers. Don’t expect fancy city hotel resort type facilities like swimming pools or badminton courts. The service staff are very helpful. Overall highly recommend JLR properties including the Bandipur property.

The package consists of room, meal and safari ride make us easy for us. We don't have to plan anything and just follow the program. It would be nice if we stay 2 nights instead as we didn't get to see tiger.

I would say overall we enjoyed the experience here. The two safari rides are great (unfortunately we didn’t see tigers but understand that it’s the luck of the draw). There was plenty of food on offer. The rooms are budget and tired, but ok for a night and you don’t spend much time in them as the schedule is pretty busy.

The property provides great value for money with scrumptious meals and smooth safari experience. have been there four times, and will go again in future. Highly recommended.

I and my family including in laws had a great time and stay at JLR. Though unexpected from a GOVT agency, but we had great service, food and Safari. Kudoos to entire team of JLR-B. Keep it up!!!
