We came to Iloilo for relaxation and to break free from the hustle and bustle of city life. Sotogrande was the best choice we had in Iloilo. It comes with wide grassland, with lake, biking area, pool and bath tub. The pool was not that clean when we came in though. We stayed for a total of 3 days.

I would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 stars. I’ve stayed here several times with my family, usually in the two-queen-bed rooms, and I’ve noticed some inconsistencies between rooms—some have better lighting and extra chairs, while others feel more basic. The faucet design is also an issue, as it tends to splash water all over the sink area. During our most recent stay, our room didn’t even have a peephole, which made it difficult to know who was outside the door. That said, we still enjoy staying here because the staff are consistently friendly and very accommodating. Their hospitality is definitely a highlight. We were also celebrating my daughter’s birthday during this visit, and while it would have been nice to receive a small complimentary treat or gesture, none was offered. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the restaurant. The food was just average considering the price, and the menu options were quite limited. Additionally, mobile data signal in the area is poor, which can be inconvenient if you rely on it. Overall, despite a few shortcomings, the warm service keeps us coming back.

Around 9:00 PM, just after I had finished taking a bath, we heard someone attempting to access our room. I quickly dried myself, got dressed, and called the front desk to report that someone was repeatedly trying to enter our room. Fortunately, we had engaged the safety lock, which prevented entry. A few moments later, I opened the door and saw a hotel staff member assisting two guests with their luggage. The staff member apologized for attempting to enter our room. The guests also explained that the incident was not their fault and showed us their key card, which indicated the same room number as the one assigned to us. This situation was concerning, as it appears that the room may have been assigned to multiple guests or there was an error with the room key issuance, creating a serious security and privacy issue.

Before the guest arrive hotel staff make sure everything are prepared for that case guest wouldn’t complain or ask anything, and in regards for room they need to notify the guest if there’s a change’s, just like us we booked a deluxe king studio 1 queen bed only, however the front desk told us there were an error on their system, they provide us different room.

The staff were accommodating and friendly. The room was neat and the amenities were complete. I find it cute seeing a bathtub/bathroom with a window haha. Of course it has blinds. :) Except for the wireless network connection, it's no longer reachable inside the room and you had to use it while in the lobby or restaurant. As long as you are outside your unit. You'll have to avail your breakfast ahead of time because the serving time was too long (took us at least 45 minutes for 4 servings of breakfast), plus our beverage was missed.
