We had a pleasant stay at Golden Leaf Motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location was excellent, with everything in the centre easily accessible. It was also more affordable than many other accommodation options in the alpine area, making it great value for money. The only areas for improvement were related to customer service. We weren’t given the Wi-Fi password at check-in, and when we returned from dinner at around 6:30 pm to ask for it, reception had already closed. We had also called earlier that day to ask if there was a cooking area, and the male staff member who answered the phone came across as a bit unfriendly. A more welcoming approach over the phone and ensuring guests receive important information like the Wi-Fi details at check-in would make the experience even better. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Golden Leaf Motel.

Overall it's a reasonable place to stay if you aren't too bothered by some small crawling insects in the room and almost non-existent WiFi connection. Location is great for driving up to Mt Buffalo and Bright. Beware, your booking might not reach their system via Agoda, so always call them to confirm before travelling. Their family BBQ area is a winner, but the small pool doesn't look too appealing.
