The Tradesman's Arms is a very traditional pub in a very rural but picturesque location that is an ideal base for cyclists and hiking, while being convenient for Buckfast Abbey & the A38. The pub has a classic interior with a small bar and very friendly hosts. The focus is on locally sourced drinks while still catering for the wider market. I stayed for 4 nights in a very clean & comfortable room, especially the bed. It included on-suite shower room, wardrobe and desk. The shower room included 3 towels, soap, shower gel and shampoo. The desk included a plug socket and contained a hairdryer. Next to the bed included touch lamps and ample plug sockets. I had the full English breakfast plus coffee each day, included with the room booking. It was of good quality and filling, proving an ideal start to day. Overall I would highly recommend the pub for its location, comfortable rooms and traditional welcome.

Clean and comfortable room; the bed was the best we’ve ever encountered in hotels, guest houses, Airb&b etc. Susanne couldn’t do enough for us; very welcoming of our small terrier. The evening meal was exactly what we needed and served fast and hot. The locals in the bar were a right laugh too! Highly recommended. Dawn & Martin

We had a wonderful stay with a very warm reception from our host and hostess. The food was great and the evenings hanging out in the Pub were delightful. What a blessing we were turned on to this B&B by my cousins. It made our stay in the Devon area very memorable.
