We booked this hotel at the very last minute and managed to secure a good deal through Agoda. As we were travelling together, we requested twin beds, but unfortunately the hotel does not offer twin beds in their standard rooms. Upon arrival, we asked about upgrading to a room with two separate beds and paid an additional charge for the upgrade. However, when we entered the room, we found that it consisted of a large double bed and a small pull-out sofa bed rather than two standard beds. To their credit, the receptionist promptly prepared the sofa bed for us (although he didn’t realise that the backrest can be moved so that the sleeping area extends by another 20cms) The hotel does not have a lift, which may be worth noting for guests with luggage or mobility concerns. During our stay, we also encountered a few unwelcome visitors in the form of cockroaches. The lights on our veranda were not working, although fortunately some light from the neighbouring balcony made the space usable in the evening. The telephone in our room was also out of service. When I needed assistance from reception, I had to walk upstairs and wait for around 15 minutes before a member of staff became available via WhatsApp (!) On a very positive note, the breakfast was excellent. The food just kept coming, and the quality and variety were superb. The only disappointment was the coffee. We were initially told there was no barista available, and later that there were no coffee beans, meaning options such as an Americano or espresso were unavailable. Overall, this is a pleasant hotel with spectacular views and a very enjoyable breakfast. However, the lack of a lift, limited bedding options, some maintenance issues, and the challenging access road—particularly at night after leaving the motorway—slightly detracted from the experience. With a few improvements, it could be an even better place to stay.
