AMORAP - Asenso Misamis Occidental Recreation and Adventure Park

Very disappointing stay. I paid around ₱9,400 per night for what was advertised as the highest room category on Agoda, expecting a comfortable and productive vacation. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon arrival, I was told the Duplex Villa I booked was not fully furnished and was moved to a different one-bedroom villa far from my family’s accommodation, which ruined our family bonding. The biggest disappointment was the Wi-Fi. It was practically unusable inside the villa, and even the TV wouldn’t work because of the poor internet. The staff admitted the signal only works on the balcony, which is unacceptable when Wi-Fi is advertised as an amenity. The Agoda listing also wasn’t clear about the difference between the Inland and Ocean Villas, so I believed I had booked the Ocean Villa. Additionally, the resort’s visitor policy was very inconvenient. Visitors are not allowed to enter freely, and I was told I would need to pay ₱2,100 for an extra bed per visitor, even though I clearly explained they were only coming to visit. This felt unreasonable, especially since I had nothing to do in the villa due to the lack of Wi-Fi. The policy was not guest-friendly and made the situation even more frustrating. Overall, the room I received and the amenities provided did not match the price I paid. I hope the resort improves its transparency, internet service, and visitor policies, and delivers the experience it advertises.
