Jawakara Islands Maldives

We had a great stay at Jawakara. It is new resort with excellent food and facilitieas. We received upgrade to pool beach villa- thank you Jawakara! We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to come back again. Thank’s to dive instructor Nong- we did our first dive lesson and swim with incredible manta ray! Thank you!

Great new island. If you love marine life, you can spot some rays, turtles and many other marine creatures. There a few spots, if you go snorkeling, can definitely enjoy it. Island is untouched and has some amazing views. The team is welcoming and quite helpful

Staying in the hotel right now. This is our fifth trip to Maldives. What I like: We stay on the Mabin island in a two bedroom villa. It is quite basic but comfortable with plenty of space inside and outside and enough privacy on the beach. WiFi is good. The island is really big and you have very good sandy beaches all around the island with good entrance into the water and enough depth for swimming even at law tide. What I dislike: First of all the hotel is still under construction and the construction works are going on in different places. Open air sport facilities are not ready for use. (they have a full size football field, I can’t imagine somebody will ever use it:)). The second island is not opened yet. Only one buffet restaurant is open. The most disappointing for me was the complete absence of the house reef. Actually the management of the hotel has CHEATED me otherwise I would choose the different resort. I booked the hotel early in advance and as the snorkeling on the house reef is the most important part of the Maldivian vacation for me I have double checked it. Their manager convinced me that they arrange a boat trip to the house reef several times a day. In fact it is once per day and THERE IS NO REEF. They just drop you 500m from the beach on the same flat almost lifeless sea bed as it is just near the beach and explaining that the reef edge (the place where you can really see all that underwater beauty) is very far from here. I thought that Crown&Champa is a guaranty of the quality of the services provided - unfortunately not. They are cheating the guests selling the not completely constructed property and deliberately giving the false information about the property. The alcohol price is very high for such level of the property. It is not a luxury hotel but the beer price starts from 12$ and the cheapest wine - from 60$. Alcohol free for the kids - from 14$.
