Brevant Pool Club and Resort

We reserved a room for a mid week three night stay to visit family in town. If it wasn't for the proximity to our family, we would have left. What we were sold on was a beautiful resort that was fun and close to the beach. What we got was a inhospitable resort staff and a run down motel. We saw pictures of the rooms and they had televisions so naturally we assumed they were available. We were told that every television was under maintenance. While they do have WIFI, they do not have one smart television so even though you have a tv in the room, it is inoperable. The rooms are dimly lit and needed detail cleaning. no water was provided in the room. No coffee or coffee pot or even a hot water heater was available. If you wanted that, you had to go to the front desk and ask for a cup of hot water. The CR was modern and seemed nice until you took a shower. The drain was slow draining and backed up quickly. We also have pictures of cock roaches in the CR. Oh yeah, this RESORT does not provide any soap or shampoo so make sure you bring your own stuff. The breakfast was adequate. It says that there is a restaurant on the grounds. That is not true. They have a snack bar by the pool and have menus for food but we were told that if we ordered they would have to call the chef to cook it and he was off premises and it could be a lengthy wait. The pool itself was not maintained well. It was white and cloudy with an array of bugs and slimy to the touch on the bottom. Public transportation will not take you all the way to the resort due to the condition of the road leading to it. I guess the positives would be the proximity to El Salvador and the adequate breakfast and some of the landscaping was nice. I wish I would have heeded the warnings in the other reviews. This place needs new ownership badly.
