Good Value for the Money

A good place for overnight
One thing to keep in mind that the keys are really expensive. This was a good tidy place …. very eclectic level of guests. Some of the motorcycle motorcycles were really loud. It was very spacious but for us we would probably just stay there one night. It is a motel. I know it has the same resort and it’s titled, but it is a motel and if you expect that you’ll be perfectly happy.

You get what you pay for
An OK inn. Well located at the Keys to allow easy access to the major portion of the southern part of the Keys (Key West, Marathon, Bahia Honda State park and surroundings). The room was clean. Please note that after business hours, the office closes, so check-ins are done at the Tiki bar's counter. This was something we did not know in advance, and the only way to learn this was to read the little piece of paper glued to the office door. We could really have used a warning in advance about this to save us some worry (imagine thinking that you have no way to check in to your stay for the night at 8pm after a full day of travelling). Of course, with motel staff gone, there's no one to handle guest requests or questions. Rather unusual, and not very customer friendly. Our room was missing a coffee machine, which was an bothersome inconvenience in the morning. Overall, if you're just looking for a place to crash over night on your way through the Keys, it's an OK, and well priced option. The perfect example of "you get what you pay for". I would possibly stay there again, but adjust my expectations this time.

Better than expected
When I booked I wasn’t expecting much other than a relatively clean place to crash and shower. Well it was all of that but cleaner than expected. Comfy beds too. And having a great bar right out front with bands every day is pretty cool. Management was great.
