Good place for staying at cherapunji, limited food option but can stay easily with family...staffs are good......card facility not here....

The homestay was really clean, beautiful and the staff were really sweet. We, as a female traveler of three had the best time and felt really safe. The best part was the hospitality, the food and the responsibility the staff had. The view from the stay, the town, everything has my heart.

Very Disappointing and Pathetic Experience at The Shalom Guest House, Cherrapunji. Our stay at The Shalom Guest House, Cherrapunji was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The condition of the room was completely different from what was expected. The mattress made with sponge with almost no comfort. The walls were damaged and peeling, the flooring was worn out, and the overall maintenance of the room was extremely poor. The windows were also in bad condition, making the room look neglected and unpleasant.The bathroom latch is broken. The bathroom latch was broken, compromising privacy and reflecting poor maintenance standards.Door was made with poor steel quality. The windows had paan (betel nut) stains and spit marks, which were unhygienic and unpleasant to see.Most of the basic toiletries not provided. Plastic Pedal Dustbin too not functional. The towels were not absorbent and were uncomfortable to use. The food service was equally disappointing. Despite paying full charges, the quantity served was extremely limited. If you ordered one plate of dal, you received only a small bowl, and the vegetable portions were also very small. Even if you are ready to pay for the extra meals, the staff refused to provide any additional quantity. The complimentary breakfast was another major disappointment. We were repeatedly told that only two slices of bread toast and tea would be provided per person. There was hardly any butter served with the toast. When we explained that our children do not drink tea and requested milk instead, the Owner MR *ESIKIL WAHLANG* responded rudely and suggested that we should have booked a more expensive hotel if we wanted better service. Such behavior towards guests is completely unacceptable. We have photographs and screenshots that clearly show the poor condition of the property. We paid for a two-day stay and deeply regret booking this hotel. The quality of accommodation, food, and customer service was far below acceptable standards. I would strongly advise travelers to think carefully before booking this property. Based on our experience, it does not offer value for money and fails to provide even the basic level of comfort and hospitality expected from a hotel. We would rather stay in Hell. We have all the screenshots of the room including chat from the owner. Don't GO Don't GO Don't GO Rating should be 0/10.

This is a wonderful homestay. I had a great time staying here. Everything from the food to the accommodation was excellent. The staff were also very kind especially Bhim, who was extremely polite and courteous to us.
