Fantastic staff. Food delicious. Lovely comfortable rooms and restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were great, however, we stayed in The Barn Owl room (which was beautifully decorated) and the noise coming from the bar below was loud and kept me awake until nearly midnight and then I got woken up at 6.15am with the sound of chairs/tables being dragged across the floor. The door leading in to the rooms also banged when they shut which woke us up too. I slept less than if I were at home, which isn’t great on what was a much needed night away! Food was a little bland - no real seasoning and no garlic in sight. Breakfast was good though. Would stay again but request a room further away to avoid noises.

This is the second time in 3 months that we have stayed at the Elvedon Inn I must admit that this time was not up to our previous expectations We met up with family for a meal booked in the restaurant as we had eaten there previously and had enjoyed the food and the ambience of the restaurant This time we were disappointed at the lack of choice on the menu ,as all of the dishes are offered with chips no pasta or rice dish ,unless you want a vegetarian option, which we didn't I therefore ordered the chicken pie which was on the special menu ,only to be informed that they had sold out. I was really struggling to find something else on the menu that wasn't a vegan option and didn't come with a side of chip's ( I was offered new potatoes as an alternative but again they didn't exactly go with the dishes . I opted for the Elvedon burger and asked for a side salad instead of chips. The food arrived quite quickly the fish and chips was a good size ,but the batter was so thick it just disguised the small fish and was so hard and crispy it was difficult to cut through. My salad consisted of a lot of green and red leaf and a couple of baby tomatoes, so not particularly exciting when you think of what you could put into a salad. We ordered our deserts but when they arrived they were cold (bread and butter pudding ) with custard Overall the meal was very disappointing, due to the lack of choice on the menu and the quality of the food ,the staff were forgetful not bringing over more drinks we had ordered, so we gave up in the end and went into the bar for a drink

Except for our room being given away to anther couple, everything else very good.

We had a day spa at centre parcs and was definitely a cheaper alternative to staying overnight there. Cosy room, good food and friendly staff
