The Appleby Inn Hotel

I had a nice stay, the staff were lovely, the room was very spacious and clean, and it was a nice setting. The hotel also has a family pub/restaurant, which looked nice, although I didn't eat there myself. I did enjoy the included breakfast in the morning though! Downsides - The Kitchen extractor unit was right outside my window, and seemed to keep turning on and off throughout the night. It didn't keep me awake (I was pretty tired) but it could definitely be a problem for some as it was a noticeable low frequency whirring/vibrating. Also no normal plug sockets by the bed - just some non-standard sockets, presumably for the bed-side lamps, although those were not actually present either. I feel that if they can fix the extractor so it doesn't turn on during the night then they'd solve the only significant problem. (lamps AND sockets by the bed would make it even better) In any case I'd still recommend

Great value for money. 2min from twycross zoo. Clean with comfortable beds and nice breakfast with plenty choice.

Pleasant hotel with what is needed for a quick one night stop over. Breakfast was a plenty the staff was wonderful. Location is ideal straight off of the motorway and a nice array of hidden wildlife (only if you do not look for it). Room was clean, as someone who does not drink tea or coffee I do wish places would leave at least one bottle of water in the fridge but that's a personal preference.

Great location for the National Memorial Arboretum, great room, loads of parking, great evening meal and great breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend.
